Pinch Desktop: real-time translation that works with every meeting app

A macOS app powered by Falcon v1.3 that translates across 50+ languages in any meeting app - no plugins, no integrations.

Pinch Desktop is a Mac application powered by our latest voice translation model, Falcon v1.3, delivering real-time speech-to-speech translation across 50+ languages - in any meeting app.

No plugins.

No per-app integrations.

No compatibility matrix.

Why build separate plugins for Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet? With Pinch Desktop, we solved the integration problem by moving the translation upstream.

How Pinch Desktop works

Pinch Desktop operates at the system level by routing audio.

When installed on macOS, it creates a virtual input device called Pinch Microphone. This device appears alongside your normal inputs (MacBook mic, USB headset, etc.).

The key difference: its audio is generated by Pinch Desktop, not by hardware.

Our approach is simple:

  1. Pinch Desktop captures audio from your microphone.
  2. It translates the audio internally using the Pinch API.
  3. The translated stream is presented to your system as a virtual “Pinch Mic”.

To Zoom, Teams, Meet - or anything else - it’s just another microphone. others in the meeting can hear translated speech in real-time in your voice.

Getting started takes seconds:

  1. Select Pinch Microphone as your input device
  2. Hold the shortcut key when you want translation

That’s it.

Desktop features:

Voice Clone

Pinch Desktop gives you control over how your translated voice is heard:

  • My Voice: Your voice is cloned in real time. Same timbre, same tone - just another language.
  • Male Voice: A neutral, standard male voice.
  • Female Voice: A neutral, standard female voice.

For maximum personalization, voice cloning preserves your vocal identity across languages. The words change. The voice stays yours.

Translation volume control

Hearing your own translated speech can be helpful or distracting. Pinch Desktop lets you control that.

  • Participants always hear translation at full volume
  • But users can lower or mute it locally

Push-to-talk translation

Translation is intentional.

Pinch Desktop uses a customizable keyboard shortcut that acts like push-to-talk:

  • Hold the shortcut → your speech is translated
  • Release it → normal mic passthrough resumes

This keeps conversations clean and avoids unintended translation.

Automatic transcripts

Every translated session generates transcripts saved locally in a folder.

They can act as: Meeting notes, conversation records or references for follow-ups.
