ElevenLabs Dubbing Pricing: What a Minute Actually Costs (2026)

ElevenLabs runs three dubbing products at three different prices. This breaks down the v1, v2, and Dubbing Studio rates, converts credits to dollars on every plan, and covers lip sync, watermarks, and rollover.

How much ElevenLabs dubbing costs per minute

ElevenLabs publishes three dubbing products at three different rates. Most comparisons quote the cheapest one.

ProductPrice per minute of mediaNotes
Dubbing v1, watermarked$0.33Legacy model
Dubbing v1, no watermark$0.50Legacy model, the widely quoted figure
Dubbing v2$2.20Current default for automatic dubbing
Dubbing Studio, watermarked~$0.83Credit-metered, runs the v1 model
Dubbing Studio, no watermark~$1.65Credit-metered, runs the v1 model

The $0.50 figure that circulates in most roundups is the legacy v1 model. The current default automatic engine is v2 at $2.20, which is 4.4 times higher.

Prices are per minute of source media, per target language. A 10 minute video dubbed into three languages bills as 30 minutes.

The three products

Dubbing v1 is the original automatic model, still on the rate card at $0.33 watermarked and $0.50 without.

Dubbing v2 is the current default automatic engine at $2.20 per minute. There is no watermarked discount for v2.

Dubbing Studio is the interface with transcript editing, speaker reassignment, and per-clip regeneration. It runs the v1 model only. ElevenLabs states in its documentation that Dubbing Studio is in maintenance mode and receives critical bug fixes only. Uploads cap at 1 GB and 45 minutes.

Take the editor and you get the older model. Take the current model and you get no editor.

How dubbing credits work

The plans do not sell dubbing minutes. They sell credits, and dubbing draws from the same pool as text to speech, voice cloning, and everything else.

ProductCredits per minute
Automatic, with watermark2,000
Automatic, without watermark3,000
Dubbing Studio, with watermark5,000
Dubbing Studio, without watermark10,000

ElevenLabs does not publish a credit rate for v2. It lists v2 at $2.20 per minute and includes 450 minutes of v2 on Business, which carries 6,000,000 credits. That implies roughly 13,333 credits per minute.

PlanMonthlyAnnual (per month)Credits per month
Free$0n/a10,000
Starter$6$530,000
Creator$22$18.33121,000
Pro$99$82.50600,000
Scale$299$249.171,800,000
Business$990$8256,000,000

Unused credits roll over for up to two months, capped at twice your monthly quota.

What a minute costs on your plan

Credits are priced differently on each plan, so the effective per-minute rate moves with your tier.

PlanCost per creditv1 watermarkedv1 no watermarkStudio watermarkedStudio no watermark
Starter$0.000200$0.40$0.60$1.00$2.00
Creator$0.000182$0.36$0.55$0.91$1.82
Pro$0.000165$0.33$0.50$0.83$1.65
Scale$0.000166$0.33$0.50$0.83$1.66
Business$0.000165$0.33$0.50$0.83$1.65

The published rate card matches Pro and above. On Creator you pay about 10 percent more per minute than the advertised number, and on Starter about 21 percent more. Annual billing moves it the other way: Pro annual works out to $0.0001375 per credit, putting v2 at roughly $1.83 per minute.

What a real job costs

A 10 minute video into three languages is 30 billed minutes. On v2 that is $66, or 400,000 credits. Creator’s entire monthly allowance is 121,000 credits, so this job needs Pro or higher.

A 45 minute podcast episode into one language on v2 is $99.

100 hours of course content into one language is 6,000 minutes, $13,200 at list, or 80,000,000 credits. Business allows 72,000,000 credits a year.

Credits are shared, so a minute spent dubbing is a minute not available for text to speech. Each target language is a separate dub, billed separately.

Does ElevenLabs dubbing include lip sync?

No. ElevenLabs dubbing replaces the audio track. The video passes through unchanged, so the speaker’s mouth still moves in the original language.

ElevenLabs offers lip sync elsewhere in the product through third-party models, but not as part of the dubbing pipeline. Any ElevenLabs dubbing price you see quoted is an audio-only price.

The mismatch shows on interviews, talking-head explainers, ads, and courses with an instructor on screen. It does not show on podcasts, voiceover, screen recordings, or narration.

Watermarks

Free tier dubs are watermarked automatically. Paid tier dubs are not.

On v1 you could accept a watermark for a lower credit rate. On v2 that option does not exist. Watermarks apply to video dubs only.

Which plan you need for dubbing

Free and Starter cover under three minutes of v2 per month.

Creator at $22 covers about nine minutes of v2, or 40 minutes of v1 without a watermark.

Pro at $99 covers 45 minutes of v2. Scale at $299 covers 135. Business at $990 covers 450, a figure ElevenLabs publishes directly.

When ElevenLabs makes sense

Audio-only content, an existing ElevenLabs subscription with credits going unused, or a preference for their voice models.

With a speaker on camera, the audio-only limitation is the constraint rather than the price. Lip sync means a second vendor and a second bill.

How this compares

Pinch dubs at $0.50 per minute, the same headline rate as legacy v1 and a quarter of v2, with no subscription and no watermarks. Lip sync, which ElevenLabs does not offer at any price, is $1.00 per minute. New accounts get $5 in credits.

For side by side numbers against ElevenLabs, HeyGen, and Rask.ai, including the lip sync multipliers that change the math, see the dubbing API pricing comparison. For an audio quality comparison with samples, see ElevenLabs vs Pinch.
